A Masterpiece by Seve Ballesteros

The Shire London holds a unique place in golf history as the only course in the UK designed by Seve Ballesteros. His visionary approach created a course that blends links, parkland, and water features, offering a challenge unlike any other.

A Championship Test for All Abilities

With a par of 72 and stretching 7,028 yards, The Shire London demands strategy, precision, and creativity. The signature S-shaped 18th hole, a nod to Seve himself, is a breathtaking finale to a world-class course.

A Layout Like No Other

Unlike traditional golf courses, The Shire features six par 3s, six par 4s, and six par 5s, a unique design that challenges every aspect of your game. Every hole requires careful shot selection, with water hazards and undulating greens ensuring a true test of skill.

A Course Built for Champions

Having hosted numerous elite tournaments, The Shire is regarded as one of London’s finest championship venues. Its challenging yet rewarding layout makes it a perfect battleground for the MGA Race to Makkah.

The Ultimate Test Awaits

A course designed by a legend deserves legendary performances. Will you take on the challenge and conquer The Shire?

Liwaa Cup

The Race to Makkah UK Series does not end when the final putt drops. It builds towards the Liwaa Cup, a fierce North vs South showdown that brings together the very best performers from the season. Only those who finish inside the top four of each division in the Race to Makkah standings will earn their place, forming two elite teams of twelve players.

What follows is a fully hosted, complimentary, overnight experience and three rounds of match play featuring alternate shot, better ball pairs, and singles. Pride, regional rivalry, and the honour of lifting the Liwaa Cup await those who rise to the challenge.
