Championship Links Style Golf in Essex
Ingrebourne Links offers a distinctive golfing experience just outside London, combining the character of a traditional links layout with the accessibility of a modern championship course. Built on open terrain with natural undulations and expansive vistas, the course delivers a true test of strategic golf where positioning, shot shaping, and course management are key to scoring well.
A True Test of Strategy and Precision
The layout rewards intelligent play rather than pure power. Wide landing areas from the tee encourage confident driving, but the real challenge lies in navigating the strategically placed bunkers, rolling fairways, and large contoured greens. Wind is often a defining element at Ingrebourne Links, adding an extra layer of intrigue to each round and ensuring that no two rounds are ever quite the same.
A Modern Golfing Venue
Ingrebourne Links has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting modern courses in the region. The course is complemented by excellent practice facilities, a welcoming clubhouse, and a relaxed environment that appeals to both competitive golfers and those simply looking to enjoy a memorable day on the course. Its open landscape and contemporary design provide a refreshing contrast to traditional parkland venues.
Preparing for the Race to Makkah
For players travelling to compete in the Race to Makkah series, Ingrebourne Links provides an exciting and dynamic stage for competition. The Muslim Golf Association has secured preferred arrangements for participants, including the opportunity to arrive early and enjoy a practice round ahead of tournament play. With its unique links style character and strategic design, Ingrebourne Links promises an engaging challenge and an unforgettable tournament experience.
Liwaa Cup
The Race to Makkah UK Series does not end when the final putt drops. It builds towards the Liwaa Cup, a fierce North vs South showdown that brings together the very best performers from the season. Only those who finish inside the top four of each division in the Race to Makkah standings will earn their place, forming two elite teams of twelve players.
What follows is a fully hosted, complimentary, overnight experience and three rounds of match play featuring alternate shot, better ball pairs, and singles. Pride, regional rivalry, and the honour of lifting the Liwaa Cup await those who rise to the challenge.

No, an official handicap is not required to participate. However, to be eligible for the main prize—an all-expenses-paid trip to compete in the World Final & Golf Umrah—players must have an official WHS handicap and have played at least six official competitions between 18th April 2025 and 30th April 2026.
For the 2026 series, participation in the main competition is limited to players with an official WHS handicap (handicaps are capped at 21).

Additionally, your participation in this division will count toward your six required rounds for the 2026 series. -
